Altman’s
online catalog now features the Canto product line. This product
line is unique because it provides five mid-range followspot
options in the "throw gap" between 70 and 150 feet. The Canto
line includes both metal halide and incandescent sourced
followspots.
Quartz Followspots
 The
Canto® 1000 is a compact followspot using a tungsten-halogen bulb (EGT;
not included) to give a powerful and well-defined beam from the double
condenser zoom optical system. This followspot has a 8° to 22° variable
beam angle, a large side handle to control pan and tilt movement, and a
double microswitch interlock for safe bulb replacement. Also included
are an external power supply unit, iris, dimmer, 28mm (1.1") spigot, and
a 185 x 185mm (7¼ x 7¼") color frame. The CANTO-1000 system includes:
fixture, stand, and color changer.

MSR Followspots
 The
new Canto 250HR is based on the new ceramic lamp from Philips, which
provides 3200°K and a CRI>90 with only a quarter of the power
consumption compared with a 1KW halogen lamp. The ST250Hr lamp offers
all the benefits of ceramic technology for applications that until now
have been the preserve of halogen lamps.This followspot features a well
defined beam, a large side handle to control pan and tilt movement and a
double microswitch interlock for safe bulb replacement. The fanfree
cooling system makes it ideal for TV studios and theatre applications.
The CANTO-250HR system includes: fixture, lamp, stand, and color
changer.
